    Struggling with Ambien

My workers compensation claim was made in the State of: Edwin Edwards

I have been trying to ween myself off Ambien and I am catching Hell. I went from 10mg to 5 mg over a 2 week period. Then UI decided to go "cold turkey" 3 days ago. I have not had a Ambien in 3 nights but I have not slept 8 hours total.

The withdrawals are not that bad but I cannot sleep. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Some Advice with WC Case

Hello all. I have posted a few times within this forum concerning various issues I have been going through with my WC case. Like many of you, I struggle constantly with the process that we Californians have to deal with when going through a broken WC system. To all of you who have responded back to my various posts, I sincerely appreciate it. So now I am really at the end of my rope with my case. Let me give you a bit of history since I really need some advice right now:

I was injured at my part time job 10 months ago. Initially, I went to my employee’s doctor for the first 30 days and then went to a second doctor that was part of my Employer’s IC’s MPN. I went to this Doctor for a few months while going to physical therapy at the same time… at the time, I was also submitting mileage reports to my attorney which they in turn had told me that they were submitting to the insurance company. After a few months, my attorney ended up sending me to another doctor because my doctor at the time wasn’t really handling me properly (issues with treatment). At the time, my attorney’s paralegal told me that this new doctor that I would be seeing was also part of my employer’s IC’s MPN. So I started seeing this new doctor… this doctor works on Lien basis so he didn’t have to wait to get approval from the IC for things like Physical therapy and Tests like my MRI. Again, all along I was submitting mileage reports… I was also taken off of work for about a month from this doctor for TTD and these reports were also forwarded to the IC.. supposedly. All of a sudden, about 2 months after I started to see this doctor, the IC sends me a notice saying that they are disputing a part of my body that was included in my claim and they were also claiming that I was being treated by a doctor that was outside of their MPN. I was shocked to say the least. I contacted my attorney immediately and when I spoke to his paralegal, he informed me that my doctor WAS part of the MPN when he first sent me there and that he had proof of this. Over the next several months, whenever I asked about this situation, my attorney’s paralegal told me that he was speaking to the attorney about it and that he was going to decide if we needed to go to court over it. Meanwhile, I never received any checks for mileage reimbursements or time missed from work. To this day, I have never received a single payment from the IC for anything because of this issue. Like most of you in here, I have a great deal of trouble getting in contact with my attorney.. however, when I am able to speak with him via email, he simply tells me that I have to wait for my final P&S report from my doctor.. What? I mean I am going to be declared MMI in my next appointment, but I have a long road ahead of me and need that money from the reimbursements. My lawyer on the other hand tells me that nothing can be done and repeatedly ignores my emails where I explain how I have brought this issue up repeatedly. I am seriously considering getting another attorney but would anyone even take my case since it’s almost over and there isn’t much left to do? I can really use some advice right now.. I greatly appreciate it. Sorry for the long post also.
